The urban clothing brand GRRR starts its second season of interviews with the VTB hall of famer EJ Rowland, who on this occasion talks with professionals from very different fields that will try to exchange expertise with the basketball player.
In the first episode, Rowland interviews the highly decorated Spanish National rhythmic gymnast Elena López Benaches who won the silver medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016 and multiple medals at both the World and European Championships.
Elena speaks with EJ about the difficulties that came with sacrificing a “normal” childhood by leaving her family in Valencia at 12 years old to join the High Performance Center in Madrid. Eight hour days of training in addition to class, trips and study requirements isn’t the typical life of a teenager and neither the early retirement from competition around the age of 24.
In addition to the formal chat, EJ and Elena try to practice each other's sport. Elena manages to improve her free throw technique while EJ learns some tricks with the ribbon and surprises with his ability to do a pirouette.
